Week 2: Power of People

Success: something that everyone wants. Everyone has hopes, dreams, desires, and visions. You want to achieve that. What’s the key to reaching success?

We know that you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Those 5 people shape your thoughts, actions, and ultimately your destiny. Ask yourself, are the key people in my life helping me become the person I want to be and get to where I want to go? Is your environment pushing you? If not, move on. Surround yourself with those metaphorical “studs.” Toxic friendships and mentors can lead to self doubt, uncertainty, and guilt.

But no one just mentors someone or spends time with them for no reason. You need to bring something to the table. You need to be someone that productive, driven, successful people want to hang out with. That’s because greatness attracts greatness. Studs attract studs. A-players attract fellow A-players. No one wants to work with people who will disappoint or fail to understand them.

Great teams form when A-players meet those other A-players. At the end of the day, that’s what changes the world. Great teams: no one does it alone. Team synergy unlocks even more capability and takes things to the next level.
That’s why organizations love to brag about the quality of their people. It’s not about a name or any technology, it’s about people. Names change, technology changes, but the best quality people on the best teams will always thrive.

So invest in people, surround yourself with individuals who share your goals. Build that team with a culture of greatness, and you will be successful.
