I thought there would be a day that solved all my problems. “Just wait until I start XYZ and everything will fall into place,” I said. Because of that, I would not be motivated in the present because this supposed future event would be the magic bullet.
That day isn’t coming. No external event is going to come in to create that happily ever after. Waiting for that day is taking time away from truly making progress toward your goals.
Your problems are not going to go away, that’s it. You won’t be where you want to be until you deal with them head on. Problems will exist as long as you’re alive; everyone has problems to deal with, even billionaires, celebrities, and people that seem to have it all. But there are some people that see problems as opportunities, as a challenge that they can learn from. If you can reframe your problems, and let them drive your growth and make you better, you’ll find the success you desire.
But it’s not easy or comfortable. Sometimes you just got to do it alone. If people don’t see your goals, or don’t care to go along, you need to have that courage to just do it. If you’re waiting for someone else to give you that validation, or lead you to your success, it’s not happening.
The day is today. The day you realize that next week, next month, or next year is not the answer to your problems. Today is the day, go after your goals and get to work.
